Doglike Ant | Hundsameise is a time based short film project in English and German. The film addresses children and their development of self-esteem and role allocation. Main focus of the project was to define its style as a collage. Textures are used on two-dimensional forms in three-dimensional space to depict the main character’s view on reality.
The story is based on a fictional tale which was invented for and with two girls aged 4 and 5. The film aims to strengthen self-esteem, includes topics of identity and adaptation to social order and focusses on social exclusion as well as dissociation from other people. All of these aspects refer to social development of children.
